NFS

Client Setup

Install NFS:

apt-get install nfs-common

Edit /etc/fstab to mount share:

[server ip]:[server directory] [client directory] nfs auto 0 0

such as

10.10.1.1:/network/share /local/directory nfs auto 0 0


Server Setup

Install NFS:

apt-get install nfs-kernel-server nfs-common portmap

Edit /etc/exports file to export shares:

/store/d1/files/music 192.168.69.102(ro,no_subtree_check,async)

/store/d1/movie-archive 192.168.69.102(ro,no_subtree_check,async)

/store/d2/movies 192.168.69.102(ro,no_subtree_check,async)

/store/d2/torr 192.168.169.10(rw,no_subtree_check,sync)

/store/d2/torr 192.168.169.11(rw,no_subtree_check,sync)

Apply the changes:

exportfs -a
